The Sun Spot is a sun shading device that responds to the sun as well as the user. The concept is based off of Halftone, a reprographic technique that stimulates continuous tone imagery through the use of dots. Varying sizes of dots may potentially create areas of shade (large dots) or areas of wider viewpoints (small dots). By using circular units, a sense of a window still exists. When the units fully expand a void is still left open allowing for unobstructed views.
